To infinity and beyond! LEGO Toy Story January 2010

LEGO and Disney met before but this is the first time that the characters Pixar Studio presented in the main range Lego so when the couple was announced in 2009, it caused some excitement among the children and the fans activities for adults.

Toy Story occupies a decisive position in both 3D animation history and in the heart of the children of many generations. With Toy Story 3 movie set for release worldwide in July 2010, these sets are required to be in high demand. The first Wave Toy Story LEGO were released in January 2010 and they are a good mix of young and old games at different price ranges. Lego figurines Pixar characters are a major drawcard with this range and they do not disappoint.

Probably the best value to save money, and more difficult to find on store shelves is all Woody and Buzz to the rescue. This set, numbered 7590 and priced at $ 19.99 is the only set that comes with two Woody, Buzz. The figurines are highly detailed and accurate, instantly recognizable and endearing in their format LEGO. This set also comes with fan favorite RC, which in the film is a small remote control car. In this series RC is not the remote, but has power to remove the friction to make it run across the floor.

The largest group, at 502 rooms, is Woody's Roundup, which recreates all television and features Woody Woody, a prospector (otherwise known as Stinky Pete), Jessie and Bullseye the horse. This set numbered 7594 and priced at $ 49.99, is a portal of pleasure and functions of the sheriff's office, a prison and a gold mine along with the cave lots of accessories such as a safe, money and explosives. It is good to have Woody, Jessie and Bullseye the buildings together and provide locations so they congregate or have a shootout with Stinky Pete.

The smallest set in this first wave is Army Men Retailing Patrol for $ 10.99. It features the green army men figures prominently in the first movie Toy Story. What is cool about this series is the color. Except for the wheels of the jeep, everything is green. The set comes with four figures, three soldiers and a doctor (although distinguished by the white cross on his helmet). Figures from various accessories and base plates on their feet, although attached to a baseplate lego. The jeep is very cute and has a stretcher the army men injured in the line of duty.

The next largest group, is at 257 pieces of Star Command Buzz Spaceship. minifigs Featuring Buzz and evil, but his father (I am your Father) Zurg, this set weighs $ 29.95. The spaceship is very swooshable and rear opens to reveal a small moon buggy to zoom in on Buzz about perfect for planetary exploration. The cockpit opens and adapts Buzz fit inside, even with its wings. This is a very playable, and even age is recommended for ages 7 and up I say that the clever young children could easily play with him.

The last two rounds of the first Toy Story are the two waves LEGO Build-a Sets. They are essentially building, moveable both Buzz and Zurg (sold separately). Each figure is about 7 inches high, is robust for Thurs articulated and comes with a little alien figurine (the little green men). They are much more detailed than the ordinary type figures (eg, a helmet Buzz can close the figure Build a Buzz-but not on the figure), but can not be played in vehicles or playsets, have more in common with Bionicle figures of their size. However, when the rest of the range is published these figures will be great to play or deployment figures.

These projects represent the first full wave Lego Toy Story in 2010 but there is more to come. In approaching the release of Toy Story 3 in theaters another wave will come out in few months. With names like Western Train Chase and Pizza Planet Rescue Truck LEGO theme that has much more life in it yet and I hope its success will pave the way other sets of Pixar Lego theme.
