Oblivion by Astor Piazzolla, was composed in the year 1982 as a chamber ensemble. This beautiful piece of music was one of most famous tangos of Astor Piazzolla, and became most popular when it was released on the soundtrack of the film Marco Bellochio Henry IV, the mad king. Oblivion has been recorded in many different versions, including being rewritten for klezmer clarinet, saxophone quartet, oboe and orchestra.
It begins with violins and cellos, and is a beautiful haunting song that speaks of tragedy and love. This is one Tango of the most famous work already done by Astor Piazzolla, and remained one of his best. The string section between instantly, with a subtle accompaniment arpeggios, and the melody is very sad and almost depressing. With notes long and beautiful notes in alternation and elegant figures, Oblivion is a song that tells a sad story of love and woe. It is a beautiful piece, very elegant in structure, and sounds like a sad song.
Halfway through the song, the melodies change a little with a different theme, not as intense as previous notes and melodies well. Piazzolla Astor's Oblivion is one of the tangos he wrote with almost no influence of jazz and rock, like most others of his plays from that time. It is a piece that is very faithful to the original Tango, Piazzolla and he holds to its roots. It has a bit of harmonic sophistication and elegance, and he sings a beautiful song tango and emotion.
