The new LG Cookie phone is being referred to as both the LG GS290 Cookie Fresh and LG Cookie 2 and is the latest addition to the touch screen range. Following in the footsteps of the extremely popular LG KP501 and KP500 models this latest model packs in a full touch screen experience at a budget price tag.
The LG Cookie Fresh offers a large 3 inch touch screen display, a 2.0 mega pixel camera, multimedia player, FM radio and a 3.5mm audio jack. There is also multiple support for social networking websites such as Twitter and Facebook for keeping the user up to date with their friends online activities.
This first edition of the LG GS290 in silver has now been joined by two new colour variants, the new LG Cookie Fresh Pink and Orange editions. All three models offer the same feature set and simply swaps the colouring of the external casing to dictate their model name.
By omitting 3G compatibility and WiFi support the LG GS290 Cookie Fresh phone is able to come in at a very affordable price, this is a touch screen phone for those on a budget but who do not want to sacrifice on style and design.
This new LG phone has been released in response to the popular Samsung Genio Touch mobile phone, the new Cookie phone actually trumps the Genio Touch by offering a bigger touch screen and managing to come in at a cheaper price.
There is a massive range of colour schemes planned for this latest LG phone to appeal to a wide audience, as with the previous KP500 model there is to be a black, silver, pink, purple, red, gold and white editions plus there will be some limited edition models as before such as the black and gold and maybe even a Hello Kitty edition.
This latest Cookie phone was originally released as a SIM Free handset, this meant that the user could insert their own SIM card either on Pay As You Go or contract. Now that the LG Cookie Fresh has been launched as a Pay As You Go phone there is a network discount in place to subsidise the phone price by almost half.
The new pink edition has been made available on pay as you go as well with a very similar price tag whilst the orange and white colour variant is available as a SIM Free handset.
The LG Cookie Fresh and new Pink LG Cookie Fresh are two of many new models to be released in the range this year.
