LEGO Star Wars 2010 Review: Wampa Cave Hoth Set 8089
As part of their wave of 2010 seconds Star Wars, Lego released a whole game based Occurrence of the fifth movie Empire Strikes Back, which is also celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. 8089 set recreates the sequence Opening the film, generally considered the best of the saga, when Luke Skywalker is captured by a large creature like a bear, known as Wampa name. The Wampa Luke brings back to his cave and hung from the ceiling by his feet in a sort of primitive system of frozen storage.
The whole comes with 297 pieces and is the first game to feature a Lego version of the Wampa, following the release of last year were Lego Hoth the first sets with Tauntaun Lego. This last set also comes with the portico of the ice cave, Luke Skywalker in Hoth conducting a pilot and Snowspeeder Zev Senesca. Zev was published in the Battle of Hoth Rebel Trooper back earlier this year, but this time comes with its own Snowspeeder.
Account into account all the room is obviously quite small, but manages to pack a certain amount of gameplay in the portico of two distinct elements / the vehicle. The Snowspeeder is a streamlined version of earlier versions stand alone, but manages to come forward and work together. It has a winch Working on the back and the cockpit opens. For children there is very swooshable, robust and easy to hold.
The cave is rather sparse and come with a skeleton, the rib cage of animals and meat, so common that it is a concept of fire movie in the cave which allows Luke retrieve his lightsaber with the Force.
The figures are, as always, a feast for the eyes. Both Luke and printing Zev feature on both sides of the torso and do justice to their film counterparts. The highlight of the whole must be the Wampa. Lego have done an excellent job of carving of the creature to the target audience. It is not too cartoonish, but not too scary.
Given the relatively high price of $ 40 set will not please everyone but it has a high level of playability with the ice cave and a vehicle. The Wampa is simply "Icing" on the cake.
