C melody saxophone - Bare Projector Lamps Manufacturer - China Projector Lens
Benefits
A major selling point for the saxophone C melody was the fact that unlike other saxophones, it was not a transposing instrument. Accordingly, the reader can read regularly printed music (eg, for flute, oboe, violin, piano, or voice) without having to transpose or read music pieces that have been transposed in B or E, which would require most other saxophones. This allowed amateur musicians to play with a friend or family member by reading the same sheet of music - also long as the music fell into the range of the saxophone melody C is not too high or low. Another selling point was that the product C a little tune more calmly than the alto or tenor E B. Many novelty tunes, most influenced by dance music from the 1920s, were written specifically for the instrument.
Mouthpieces
Dedicated voice were produced for C melody sax, so they can be difficult to find in the 21st century. C has the melody sound muted compared to other types of saxophones, especially if an original vintage spokesman is used. This is particularly useful for its environment originally planned to play in lounges. Vintage mouthpieces are often a saxophone melody C a bit dull, which may or may not be what the player wants. Some players are successfully using a mouthpiece saxophone tenor saxophone melody with their C, although that the type mouthpiece is successful, there may be problems regarding the accuracy of intonation, especially at the end top of the range. Consequently, some tests may be necessary to find a tenor voice that provides accurate intonation throughout the scale. Other players have been adjusted to their beaks alto saxophone melody saxophones C. As before, some experiments may be necessary. With a bit more modern equipped, C melody saxophone may lose some of its qualities muted and brighter sound with more sound power or a tenor saxophone gives. Aquilasax also produce new spokesperson Melody C with a bright tone to produce a stronger resonance. Currently, there are manufacturers spokeswoman Melody C as Beechler, Ralph Morgan, Runyon, the city already Aquilasax and others.
History production
A number of manufacturers of high quality C melody saxophones produced (including Buescher, CGCONN, Selmer, Martin and King) from to 1918 through approximately 1930. C melody saxophone production appears to have peaked around 1923, with a gradual reduction thereafter. Relatively little saxophone Melody C were made in the 1920s. The straight-neck Conn Tenor C is the most frequent real orchestra of saxophones and a more conventional and is consistent throughout the instrument range. This is one of the few models actually made for professional use. However, the long neck and right means that the saxophone should be held outside the player's body, a posture that some people may find uncomfortable.
Cheaper, new melody saxophone C have been marketed from the late 1910s through the early 1930s as a saxophone version intended for amateur use, in homes, schools, and bands of the city. It was created with a hole much smaller than the tenor saxophone B, being more or less a "stretched" version of the alto saxophone bore.
In the late 1920s the popularity of C melody saxophone was gone. Sales of all saxophones fell dramatically after the Wall Street crash of 1929, and the melody C was one of several models (including the saxophone mezzo-soprano), who were withdrawn from the market shortly after. However, it is important to note that production has ended for purely financial reasons, and not because of an inherent flaw in design or poor manufacturing standards. C melody saxophones have been as good as the reputation any society has produced. The fundamental problem is that the Great Depression that followed immediately after the stock market crash of 1929 caused difficult economic conditions worldwide. This saxophone manufacturers forced to reduce the range of saxophones they produced even in the most popular models, just for these companies to survive. Consequently, the production of C melody saxophones ended abruptly. At the time when the world economy had found C melody saxophones enough to be economically viable again, the interests of people of leisure time has changed and there was not a market for them. In addition, the "Big Band" era had started in the early 1930s and all those who wanted to learn saxophone was mainly interested soprano, alto, tenor or baritone, as it would at least potentially, they can play in a Big Band, Big Bands and does C melody saxophone was missing in their instrument line-up. Consequently there was no consumer demand for melodic instruments C, would-be manufacturers had no incentive to resume production. Unsurprisingly, instrument manufacturers have tended to focus on taking other types that had strong customer demand and were easy to sell, say, alto and tenor.
In the 1960s, Vito (a company French) has produced a few C-Melody saxophone, but it is estimated that he made less than 20 examples.
The C Melody saxophone was most often associated with renowned artist Rudy Wiedoeft. In addition, some jazz musicians got their start early on the C melody, including Benny Carter and Coleman Hawkins, Carter eventually moved to the alto and tenor B. Hawkins Player C was the most famous melody Rudy Weidoeft. Although he played alto and soprano saxophones as well (the latter in ensembles with Arnold Brilhart, Alford Evans, and others), he made his recordings most famous on the C melody, and has been an important factor in the saxophone craze that resulted in so many instruments being melody C sold in the 1920s. Another player famous C melody was Frankie Trumbauer, a jazz player, who was known for his superb technical skill on the instrument. Jack Pettis, a member of the orchestra of Ben Bernie and an artist under his own name, was another talented player of the instrument.
A few contemporary saxophonists often play on C melody instruments, including Anthony Braxton, Kyle Vincent, Scott Robinson, Rick Arbuckle, Dan Levinson, Hayes Greenfield and Joe Lovano. Carla Bley has also used the instrument. [Citation needed]
Despite the fact that they were not manufactured in more than 75 years, melody saxophone C are available, because of their use is limited and the number that were produced in the early the 20th century. They can be found in stores that carry the instruments used, tag sales, rummage sales and the lenders on wages across the United States.
Related and new instruments
Another acute saxophone in C, called the contralto saxophone, was produced by California instrument maker Jim Schmidt since the late 1990s. This is a modern design and differs from the vintage C melody instruments more ways, most notably its chromatic fingering linear system.
A society of New Zealand called Aquilasax announced its intention in 2006 to begin producing a new "C-melody saxophone" in 2007. A prototype was built, and production has now begun. There was problems of quality control and packing with the first lot, apparently these problems are now solved and not recur. The second batch was to be available in December, but the intonation problems were found to be related to the construction of the neck (two straight and curves). Last word of the source of the June 30, 2008: am relieved to announce the arrival of new stock of C New saxes. I began to think that Resurrection was a myth. Again I am going to work, making sure each and e-mail client when the option of finishing their choice is ready shipped.
